What is up chat! it's me, HarryMario. I have done some pretty silly, wild and even goofy things when it comes to video gaming, such as beating Yoshi's Woolly World Jumpless, TAS-ing New Super Mario Bros. Wii, or a full game run of Minecraft Story Mode. While all that stuff is neat, my primary aspiration is to become a video editor as my source of income. While I do make Youtube videos, I primarily make content as a way to try and teach myself editing so I have a portfolio to show when looking for work
Projects
Challenge Runs
the primary content on my Youtube channel is trying to beat games with a certain handicap like "Without Jumping" or "Always Crouching". I believe these kind of videos show off my skills as a creator the best, as they have to be so tightly edited with so much footage. it also shows how I can work with writing and reading scripts, which is overlooked as a big part of what goes into these videos. I decided to put the Yoshi's Woolly World video here, as it is my favorite.
NSMBW Minimum Jumps
NSMBW Minimum Jumps was another challenge run started in July of 2021. it was intended to be another challenge run in the same vain as "Yoshi's Woolly World Jumpless" however I vastly underestimated the difficulty of it, and it has been a massive community project to finish the run with, as the name implies, the Minimum Jumps. the levels are "Tas-ed" which means we create a pre-made series of inputs to play back to get the outcome we want, instead of playing the game in real-time. This is done becuase some of the tricks in this challenge end up being so precise they would be near-impossible for a human to do in real-time, which gets even worse when you have to chain it all together to beat the level. Given it is a community project, not all levels are TAS'ed by me, but it's safe to say that I, and anyone else on the team, have at least taken a look at every single level to figure out strategies to minimize the jumps.
FNF One-Handed
Friday Night Funkin' (often abbreviated to FNF) is a game I care deeply about. I fell in love with it in Early 2021, and I have been playing the game consistantly since. Given how long I've been playing the game, I would consider myself pretty darn good at the game, though not good enough to be a top-top player. according to Quaver, I rank somewhere within the top 1,000 in the UK. I got frustrated that despite being a good player, it wouldn't be recognised as I wasn't the best player, so I taught myself to play FNF one-handed, which is a skill not many other people have. Due to the lack of competition, by defualt that already makes me one of the best. The videos of my one-handed FC's are hosted on GarryLuigi, a second channel I own to upload whatever I want without the pressure of quality standards or expectation on what I should upload.
Speedrun.com
Despite not really taking speedrunning all too seriously, I find myself spending a lot of time on Speedrun.com . My favorite game to run is the Super Mario Odyessey Multiplayer Mod by CraftyBoss. I also moderate for that game, as well as making Routes, Updates, and Tutorials. beyond SMO Online, I mainly use Speedrun.com to upload joke runs, like a full game run of Minecraft Story Mode (which is over 10 hours long) or Parodying Super Mario 3D World Runners.
